R.K. Films, formed in 1948 by Raj Kapoor, became the city’s landmark, long before Chembur became habitable. It drew tourists and locals to its iconic gates for the evergreen movies that were shot inside and for the stories around the man who built it. Even today, RK Studios is much more than a piece of land; it’s a part of the city’s history who’s great legacy still stands in our hearts.
